This is a video of my Projection Design I final project.
During this 9 week class, the first of its kind offered in the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), I learned how to program two DL3s using a RoadHog4 lighting console.
Prior to this class, I had no experience with moving lights, projections, or any Road Hog consoles.
The assignment was to create a "demo" style projection utilizing the Global, Motion, and Graphic parameters imbedded in the DL3s to showcase both the programming and design skills acquired during this class. We were allotted 8-12 hours to do this.
I see this project as a rhythmic experiment in media layering and, as such, I tried to create an environmental experience more than a mere projection on a wall.
