My name is Alexandra Marcella Vasquez Dheming-- but you can call me Alex.

I am a freelance Lighting Designer and Production Manager based in Queens, NY. Born and raised in San Salvador, El Salvador, I was introduced to theater as a compelling voice for the voiceless before I saw it as spectacle. My work is informed by the double-edged belief that performing and entertainment arts can be both a catalyst for change and regeneration, as well as a positive opportunity for escapism and beauty. I have forged a career in rhythmic lighting design, informed by a background in dance and the visual arts.

I am driven by curiosity and am inspired by truly collaborative relationships where intelligent, unexpected experiences are the outcome.
